Government has been complicit in this as well so it will be difficult. I hope there is a thorough investigation into the failure of oversight from the governmental health bodies that are supposed to protect the public from medical malpractice, not promote it.
Yes, very much agree that it could be difficult. It's as if regulators no longer have capacity to recognise any conduct that would be recognised as misconduct.
From memory, two Australian detrans people who were awarded a payout in the 2000s, successfully argued that they were "misdiagnosed" as transsexual. Not sure how a similar argument would translate today given the field/culture has changed so much.
I believe they reached confidential settlements so not sure how much information about them is around, apart from initial news reporting that the actions were taking place.
